Why not fit the EASYLOK shaft lock. The EASYLOK system is a simple, no frills, easy to install unit that enables you to lock the shaft and lets you get on with the reason you are out in your boat, enjoying your sailing with no distractions.

With the shaft locked with the EASYLOK it allows blades on feathered propellers to rotate to their correct positions giving you the full benefit of the low drag factor of the propellers

The EASYLOK also stops the irritating noise that the shaft and gear train produces when under sail.

The EASYLOK unit consists of a fixed housing and a rotating disc fixed to the shaft that has two notches to hold the rotation when required. The unit is activated by a cable operated plunger, no complicated hydraulics. Want to motor? Then start the engine and it automatically disengages.

EASYLOK units are available for shafts from ¾ " dia and cables lengths up to 20"
