Our propeller shafts are manufactured from bright ground 316 grade stainless steel and can be supplied in any metric or imperial size up to 3" or 75mm diameter.
These shafts can be machined with either 1:10, 1:12, 1:16 or 1:20 tapers. They are supplied with nuts and keys ready for installation.

Cost of keying parallel shaft and supply parallel key up to 2"/ 50mm - shaft diameter, from 2"/ 50 mm to 3"/ 70mm. Fitting a 1/2" coupling is extra. LAKEMET STAINLESS is also available giving 30% increase in tensile strength over 316, it also has a greater resistance to corrosion all due to its higher chromium & molybdenum content. Enables smaller stern gear to be fitted, in some cases, with cost saving overall.
Available in 1", 1 1/4" 1 1/2", 1 3/4" & 2" diameter sledge keys fitted. Also - 3/4" & 25mm diameter. | |

STERN TUBE ASSEMBLIES |
|
Lake stern tube assemblies are available to
suit Shafts from 3/4"/20mm to 3"/70mm diameter,
listed below are sizes to 1 3/4"/45mm. Larger
sizes quoted against specific enquiry. Stern
and gland bearing housings are cast in gunmetal
to ensure good corrosion resistance; and come
complete with cutlass
bearings and gland packing. Length 'B'
to suit your requirements. We also list options
with P.S.S.
seals , instead of the traditional style
flexi stuffing gland inboard. Dimensions given
below are for guidance only and may vary.
